What is this

BrainrotIdle is an idle game that traces the entire genealogy of internet culture — ancient web rage comics, the Doge-Pepe-Wojak golden age, the modern brainrot canon, the Italian Brainrot pantheon, and whatever’s coming after that. You’re not playing it for the lore. You’re playing it because numbers go up and the numbers are funny.

Questions you might reasonably have

When does it launch?

Soon, in the way "soon" is used by indie game developers — meaning we're working on it daily and we'll tell you the second it's playable. Sign up to be told.

Is it free?

Yes, free to play in your browser. No download, no account required to start.

What kind of game is it?

An idle game — the genre where you tap a thing, numbers grow, and you check back later to find more numbers. Cookie Clicker, AdVenture Capitalist, that lineage. Ours is themed around the lineage of internet memes.

Will it work on my phone?

Yes. It's a web game, so it runs in any modern browser on desktop or mobile.

Is this a crypto / NFT / web3 thing?

No. It's a game. The only currency is fictional and the only ledger is your save file.

Who made this?

A small team that has spent unhealthy amounts of time on the internet and decided to make it productive. More info at launch.
